I am a dedicated and passionate Addictions Counselor sincerely wanting to assist those that are struggling with the disease of addiction. My passion is derived from the freedom and endless possibilities that I have experienced as a result of getting clean on November 23, 1996 and spreading that message of hope for the last 21 years.
Professionally, I have been in the addictions field for 17 years, beginning my career as an Addictions Counselor Assistant where I found my calling. Upon obtaining my Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Health Studies from Alvernia University, I progressed to being a Primary Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. I have worked in Detoxification, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Intensive Outpatient and General Outpatient programs. I have obtained my CASAC from New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. I have also obtained my certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I am now in pursuit of my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University with approximately 1 year to go before completion. My intentions are to become a Licensed Professional Counselor where I can utilize my personal and professional experience in the field of addiction to further assist others in making healthy choices in order to obtain and maintain their ongoing journey of recovery.
Personally, I enjoy riding motorcycles, watching movies to relax, reading, and spending time with my loved ones.
